We are currently looking to add a Field Engineer to support our growing workload and help strengthen our field operations. This role is critical to keeping our jobs running efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. The Field Engineer will be responsible for layout, coordination, and field support across multiple commercial concrete projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform field layout for footings, walls, slabs, and embeds
• Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and elevations
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies before work is installed
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen on daily priorities
• Verify layout accuracy prior to concrete placement to prevent rework
• Assist with as-builts, documentation, and field measurements
• Coordinate with other trades and GC layout teams to avoid conflicts
• Support overall field operations to keep crews productive and efficient
• Preform Carpentry work during times when layout is not needed
Qualifications:
• 2–5+ years in construction layout, surveying, or concrete field engineering
• Strong understanding of commercial concrete construction practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Experience with Robotic total station or layout equipment (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, etc.)
• Knowledge with Magnet CAD Software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and able to operate independently in the field

Premier Concrete is looking for concrete carpenters, operators, finishers and laborers for work in the Baltimore-Washington Area.

The majority of our work is on government facilities. Background checks and drug testing are required. The ideal candidate will have concrete construction experience, ability to pass background checks for security clearances, be drug free and provide their own transportation.
We will consider applicants with minimal experience that can pass background checks.
Candidates responding to this ad may be hired on a temporary basis lasting three to six months. Permanent positions will be offered to qualifying employees after that time frame.
